In 1999, Aetrex created a Foot Health Network designed specifically to help retailers attract customers to their stores and websites to purchase products that help meet foot care and foot needs. Subsequently, it established foot.com in 2000 to become the world's number-one resource for foot health information. 

Pressure 

In 2002, Aetrex pioneered foot scanning technology for the consumer markets by introducing pressure plate technology called iStep, a revolutionary retail platform. 
The scanning system is designed to differentiate a store's fitting experience by capturing pressure data to help stores collect the unique information needed and market it to customers. Thus, making huge profits by choosing custom orthotics specific to their needs.

Aetrex has established the required infrastructure These scanners have conducted more than 40 million unique scans of customers' feet and currently perform over 2.5 million scans annually. Aetrex has developed the necessary infrastructure and cultivated its extensive knowledge to ensure the success of its integrated foot scanning program for its partners.  

The Aetrex team consists of a 30-person global sales and service organization, extensive internal support, and a diverse team of technology developers, including experts in software coding, machine learning, computer vision, and optical and electrical engineering. 

Mobile Integration 

In 2018, Aetrex acquired SOLS, a prominent developer of mobile foot scanning applications, and introduced the Albert CRM Dashboard. This dashboard gave partners access to all the data points gathered by the scanners. It holds a wide range of information about customers' feet, which can be utilized for R&D, innovation, marketing, and the development of powerful, personalized digital marketing initiatives for specific targeted audiences.
